Book During Your Second Trimester
The best time to reserve your newborn photography session in Brantford is during your second trimester—usually between 12–24 weeks.
This gives you plenty of time to chat about your vision, choose colours or props you love, and secure a spot in my calendar before it fills up.
I only take a limited number of newborns each month so I can stay flexible with due dates—babies arrive on their own schedule, and I want to make sure there’s room for you when they do.
When Are the Photos Taken?
Newborn sessions are typically done when baby is between 5 and 14 days old.
During this time, they’re still very sleepy, naturally curly, and content being gently posed—perfect for those cozy, squishy images we all love.
If baby arrives early or needs extra time at home, I’ll always work with you to adjust our session timing. Booking ahead simply ensures you’re on my radar, and we can shift dates as needed.
What Happens If You Wait?
If you wait until baby is born to book, it can be tricky to find a photographer with space available—especially during busy months. I always try my best to squeeze in last-minute sessions when I can, but booking early gives you priority and peace of mind.
Many of my clients in Brantford, Paris, and Cambridge lock in their newborn spot right after their anatomy scan—it’s one more thing to check off your to-do list!
Bonus: You’ll Have Time to Plan Your Session
When you book early, there’s time to chat about what you love. I offer a variety of setups, colours, and props—and I’m always happy to work in special items that are meaningful to your family. Every session comes with a short prep guide, so you feel confident and ready when the big day comes.
